Guided Meditation

September Mondays 6pm, 30 minutes

Gitano NYC / 47 Varick Street. 

Guided meditations are 20 minutes long with a ten-minute talk to contextualize and explain the given practice. Meditations are from the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, and designed to be joyful, light, and assist a positive state of mind. Located in the downtown Manhattan pop-up restaurant and lounge, Gitano NYC in the meditation garden.

 

Niguma Yoga

Sundays 10am, 70 minutes

Three Jewels / 5 E 3rd Street.

 

Lady Niguma yoga is a subtle body practice including the nadis, chakras, bandhas, and drishti. We begin with chanting, breathwork, sun salutations, and move through an asana sequence to unwind energetic knots. When the knots are hard and tight we feel anxious, depressed and angry. When our central channel is open, we feel emotionally and physically balanced and can access higher planes of realization. This class is accessible for all.
